Last week I discovered its leaking hydraulic fluid from what looks like a rubber/plastic valve or bung. My car has been stiff at going into gears 1 and 2, on Friday it decided to stop working all together and I THINK it's now stuck in 3rd and 4th with the gear stick acting normally moving forward and back but moving freely left and Fiat has access to this technology, but are simply too stingy to implement it. (don't get me started about the cost the dualogic gearbox isn't exactly a cheap option.) In 90,000 kms, my gearbox has broken twice. (once under warranty, once myself which I paid 540 euros at a Bosch dealer to fix including replacing the clutch. The car would normally still start even if the dualogic system is stuck in gear, just with the usual "not in neutral" warning bleeps. If it is damp (see my dualogic threads for my suspected problems with damp) starting the engine and letting it warm-up may help dry things out. Just a puddle, or a flooded pot hole that's given the steering a jolt? Hi. I have 2011 Fiat Punto 1.4 8v. (Dualogic Transmission). I have a weird problem. P0720 code. While driving my car at "only" 90 -95 km/h speed "check transmission fault apeears on the screen and couldn't get 5th gear because of this. Reverse has no syncro. So the only way to do it is clutch down and wait a second or two. Might even be mentioned in your car's manual (I know it is in the Stilo's). Another method is, clutch down, into 1st, and then straight into reverse, as the syncro on 1st would have stopped the bits in the gearbox from moving, so no grinding when selecting Fiat Grande Punto gearbox problems. I find that sometimes it's difficult to change gear in my Fiat Grande Punto (2008). Either I can't push the lever into the next gear - especially third to second - or it crunches on third to fourth. I have just started my Punto dualogic after change of actuator and although it drives it doesn’t change from 1st gear when in auto. So it’s a very slow drive because it will only recognise reverse and 1st gear. AvUf.
